The Cost of Installation
1. Standard Labour for Car Stereo Installation
a. If the head unit is purchased from our shop, installation labour starts from $70.
b. If the head unit is purchased elsewhere, installation labour starts from $90.
c. For units with steering wheel control (SWC) connections, labour for connecting the SWC starts from $15.*
d. For units with a rear camera input, labour for connecting the car’s original rear camera starts from $60.
NOTE: A SWC interface may be required to connect the car’s steering wheel controls to the head unit. This is common for most European & American cars, as well as some newer Japanese & South Korean models. The cost of the SWC interface starts from $110, depending on the vehicle.
2. Standard Labour for Audio System Installation
a. For amplifiers and subwoofers purchased from our shop, installation labour starts from $150.
b. For customers’ own amplifiers and subwoofers, installation labour starts from $160.
c. For a pair of speakers purchased from our shop, installation labour starts from $70.
d. For a pair of customers’ own speakers, installation labour starts from $80.
3. Installation Accessory Requirements and Costs
All installation costs listed above do not include accessory costs. Most car stereo and sound system installations require certain accessories.
a. Fitting Kits: Some cars require a fitting kit (fascia panel). To find the price for your specific vehicle, please use the “Find Fitting Kit for Your Vehicle” link in the top banner of our main page.
b. Pockets, Side-trims, and Surround Frames: Please refer to the “Product Category > Accessories > Frames & Pockets” webpage. Costs start from $10.
c. Antenna Adapters: Please find these through “Product Category > Accessories > Antenna Adaptors”. Costs start from $5.
d. Aerial Boosters: Some European cars may need an aerial booster to get AM & FM stations. See “Product Category > Accessories > Aerial Booster”. Costs start from $15.
